Tiny little fish, Emerald Dwarf Rasboras are packed with character. Coral pink or sun-kissed orange are the most common colors, but the striking turquoise green stripes along their sides really make them stand out. They glow brilliantly under any lighting conditions (these stripes may appear more purple in color on some fish). The base of their caudal fin is also covered in a dark spot. Males are smaller and have red or orange fins, while females have clear fins and are less colorful than their male brethren. They're perfect for nano tanks because of their small size!

Dwarves of Emerald Rasboras can be kept in relatively stable water conditions with good water quality with little effort. The males of these fish, which are shoaling fish rather than schooling fish, will often dance and spar with each other. If you have a lot of these fish in your tank, they will become less shy. In a well-maintained and densely planted aquarium, these fish are more than likely to spawn, and you may see their offspring. In the same way that all danios are peaceful, rasboras are as well, and they can be kept with other fish, snails, shrimp, and live plants. They thrive in tanks with plants, rocks, or driftwood as a source of shelter.

Even though Emerald Dwarf Rasboras can be fed flaked or pelleted fish like those found in Tetramin Tropical Flakes or Hikari Micro Pellets, it is known that they prefer live foods like brine shrimp and microworm starter culture guppies.

There are also daphnia and insect larvae in the water. A variety of prepared foods, such as frozen brine shrimp and freeze-dried bloodworms, may also be accepted. We ship our Emerald Dwarf Rasboras as juveniles or young adults, and they can reach a maximum length of ¾ of an inch. Emerald Dwarf Danios, Thick band Purple Zebra Danios, and Cross-banded Dwarf Rasboras are other names for these fish.
