It's possible to keep these shrimp in any freshwater aquarium, as they're freshwater shrimp. Many people use them in large aquariums for waste management and algae control, and they're especially popular in planted tanks and community tanks. In most cases, we ship young adult shrimp that have already reached sexual maturity.
It's essentially the same care for Black Rili Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) and Sakura Red Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi). Black Rili Shrimp can thrive in any freshwater aquarium because they are so adaptable. Approximately half an inch to one and a half inches in length, our shrimp are ready to be shipped out to customers as breeding adults. As long as they are comfortable in the tank, some of the younger shrimp have yet to reach their full potential and will continue to grow in color. The brightest coloration can be achieved with low intensity lighting and a dark substrate.
